2006 - Susquehannock Photo Galleries - 2006

New! - If there are any photos that you'd like to get high quality prints of, let us know, and we can make them available in the Susquehannock Galleries at PrintRoom.com.
For 2006, we have too many pictures for just one gallery - so we're creating separate pages for each one. We encourage you to visit them all. Note that some of these galleries will get more pictures as the summer progresses. Clicking on the thumbnail image will open up a new window with the gallery, clicking on the text link will take this window to that gallery.
Previous Year's Galleries - 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005
The Waterfront - Summer 2006
There will be more pictures coming, but these should provide a glimpse into how great a treasure Tripp Lake is.
The Storm of '06  Being situated 1,800 feet above sea level has it's advantages . . . June Storms that called out rescue crews from DC to New York left Susquehannock a little more damp than usual, and without power for a morning, but otherwise quite intact. Much of the rain, however, naturally found its way to the lake, and Tuesday night the turnboard at the waterfront was barely showing above the water.
Wednesday morning the trend continued and the turnboard, shown below, was fully submerged for a while.
Other shots of the waterfront that make most Alumni go "wow":
These rowboats, remember, are filled entirely with RAIN.

So - the news from the opening week of our 2006 season is that it takes more than a few days of rain to drown the joy of sports, fun, and friends.

And by Wednesday, the sun had come out, as did this particularly happy bunch of smiles (seen below and right).
