Street Hockey has been part of the Susquehannock for Boys program since 1975, when Ed Shafer, then the camp's co-director, saw it played in the driveway at the home of two young campers. Those two campers (TK and RK, for those who know them) aren't quite so young anymore, but they are still at camp, and still play Steet Hockey with much the same enthusiasm.

Clinics emphasize the fundamental skills of passing, stickhandling, position, and movement without the ball. While goaltenders suit up in a full array of protective gear, the game is played without checking, and sticks stay low, which allows experienced players and novices alike to enjoy the game, yet provide an intense environment in which more hustle, smarter movement, and better communication are the difference between victory and defeat.
