Waterfront : Susquehannock Camps

Waterfront

The Susquehannock Camps are located on spring-fed Tripp Lake. Campers come to the lake daily for personalized instruction, to swim laps, to jump off the diving board, to use the slide, to bounce on the trampoline, to canoe, sail, and fish.

Safety is always the number-one priority. All swim instructors are lifeguard certified and are overseen by our Waterfront Directors. Every swim is led by a certified lifeguard 21 years of age or older. The swim program teaches children basic strokes and to be comfortable in the water. One-on-one instruction is made available for less-confident swimmers.

Susquehannock is proud to have taught thousands of children this critical life skill. Boys and girls enjoy daily swims at separate times.

Once campers accomplish the “Lake Swim”, they are encouraged to learn how to safely navigate our canoes, sailboats, rowboats, and paddleboats. Campers who are 14 years of age and older have the opportunity to participate in a canoe trip on the Delaware River. This is a wonderful day trip spent paddling through canyons, steering through small rapids, and just peacefully enjoying the natural flow of the river. Each session features exciting events like regattas and swim relays that build team spirit on the waterfront.
