The soccer program at Susquehannock is, as with all our sport programs, age and level appropriate. With juniors we focus on passing, shooting, and dribbling, and with the more advanced players begin to drill position sense and movement to open space. Older camper clinics start with the basic skills and work up to varsity level training. In addition to the ball work necessary in soccer, we stress fitness and agility training, such that children of all levels also improve their mobility and coordination. We also run specialized goalie clinics. Skills learned each day are reinforced in game play - brief scrimmages at the end of clinics and then full games in the afternoon or evening.
Susquehannock is especially proud of the soccer talent we have on staff, regularly including college varsity and semi-pro players from the US and Europe.
The soccer program has grown dramatically in recent years, due in part to the influx of foreign talent. As the quality of play rises, all campers strive to reach new levels.
