The guiding principle of the sports program at both Susquehannock
Camps is that every camper receives instruction in many different sports
and that all are given the opportunity to practice those skills in game
competition. Team assignments are made primarily in accordance with
ability. This gives each boy or girl an opportunity to participate and
enhance self-esteem in an environment where taking risks and making
mistakes is an integral part of the learning experience.
In addition to most team and individual sports, campers
can also pursue horseback riding, weight training, martial arts, mountain
biking, archery, frisbee golf, nature study, Red Cross swimming, and
a full range of boating activities.
Academic tutoring in a wide range of subjects is also
available for students looking to get ahead in school or who may need
to complete coursework over the summer.
