Cabin Life at Camp Susquehannock

Cabin Life

Living in a cabin at Camp Susquehannock is an essential part of the traditional overnight camp experience. Our rustic cabins are nestled in the beautiful Pennsylvania woods, creating lasting memories and friendships that endure for years to come.

Each cabin becomes a home away from home, where campers bond with their cabin mates and counselors while enjoying the natural beauty of our 350-acre campus on Tripp Lake. Our experienced counselors live in the cabins with campers, providing 24/7 supervision and mentorship in a supportive environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and encouraged to step outside their comfort zones.

Our traditional camp setting means living with nature and all its beauty. Pennsylvania summers offer comfortable temperatures typically ranging from pleasant 70s during the day to cool evenings perfect for campfires and storytelling. This natural environment teaches campers resilience, appreciation for the outdoors, and the value of unplugging from technology.

A beloved camp tradition is "soap day," where campers enjoy the refreshing experience of soaping off and jumping into Tripp Lake. This fun waterfront activity combines cleanliness with the joy of lake swimming, creating memorable moments with cabin mates. Of course, we also have traditional shower facilities available, giving campers options while maintaining proper hygiene throughout their stay.

The active camp lifestyle keeps everyone engaged and energized. From morning reveille to evening programs, campers enjoy a full schedule of activities, sports, and adventures across our expansive campus. The natural terrain and variety of facilities ensure that every day brings new experiences and opportunities for growth.
